Due to the continued success of this established group that consist of 2 companies, there is a requirement to strengthen their finance team by the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger ClerkReposting to the Management Accountant you will take responsibility for the smooth running and reconciliation of the groups Purchase Ledgers to assist in the smooth and effective running of the Finance function of the group.
Key Tasks
* Field calls from suppliers and assist in the resolution of their questions
* Use the group's systems to enter and process transactions including monies received, and purchase invoices
* Propose payment runs from the information shared with suppliers and once approved process payments into Bank and Purchase Ledger
* Ensure Purchase Orders are acknowledged and pass any changes or amendments back to originator for authorisation. Maintain the records fit for auditing
* Daily download bank transactions and update the cash spreadsheets
* Assist in opening and distribute incoming mail and with Credit Control and the banking of funds* Assist with nominal journals to trial balance
* Assist with Monthly Reconciliations
Candidates will need to have previous experience of purchase ledger ideally gained within a manufacturing or similar setting
