Work Wales have an appealing new position for a Registered Manager to manage a Children's Home in the Abergavenny area. The new manager will provide support and guidance for their staff team and implement rolling out the company's visions and ethos.The company's ambition for the children is high in all areas of their lives, with a huge emphasis on providing a homely environment where individuals feel supported and safe.
If you have experience as a Registered Manager or are an experienced Deputy Manager looking for that next step, this is a perfect opportunity to grow your career. As a Registered Manager with us you will:
* Help young people become independent and develop life skills.
* Provide support and guidance.
* Ensure care plansfor young people are met.
* Ensure the home is a safe and stable environment.
* Work with partnership agencies of the child(police, social services, education, Youth Offending Services etc).
* Look after the interests of the home and the company.To apply for this role, you will need:
* A Level 5 Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) qualificationor be working towards this.
* To have experience of working with children and young people.
* A minimum of two years' experience of supervising and managing staff.
* Sound knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
* To be prepared to undertakemandatory training.
* To be committed to promoting anti-discriminatory practice and setting good examples of practice within the workplace.
* To attend reviews and care-planning meetings.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* To beprepared to take off-duty calls in emergency situations.
