Work Wales have an appealing new position for a Registered Manager to manage a Children's Home. The new manager will provide support and guidance for their staff team and implement rolling out the company's visions and ethos. If you have experience as a Registered Manager or are an experienced Deputy Manager looking forthat next step, this is a perfect opportunity to grow your career. As a Registered Manager with us you will:
* Help young people become independent and develop life skills.
* Provide support and guidance.
* Ensure care plans for young people are met.
* Ensure the home is a safe and stable environment.
* Work with partnership agencies of the child (police, social services, education, Youth Offending Services etc).
* Look after the interests of the home and the company.
To apply for thisrole, you will need:
* A Level 5 Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) qualification or be working towardsthis.
* To have experience of working with children and young people.
* A minimum of two years' experience of supervising and managing staff.
* Sound knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
* To be prepared to undertake mandatory training.
*To be committed to promoting anti-discriminatory practice and setting good examples of practice within the workplace.
* To attend reviews and care-planning meetings.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* To be prepared to take off-duty calls in emergency situations.
