The Company
This high-tech company specializing in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of electro-based water-treatment products is currently growing and looking to hire an experienced Health and Safety, Environment and ISO Manager. This dynamic organisation are expanding globally and have an enviable reputation within theirindustry.
The Role
Being responsible for Heath & Safety, Environment and Quality for the organisaiton duties will include:
* Monitoring and reviewing the Company's Health & Safety risk control systems
* Risk assessments, safe systems of work, and recommending and supporting implementation of improvements
* Reviewing annually the Company's Health &Safety Strategy and delivering key improvement projects
* Advising managers of trends and developments in Health & Safetymanagement and recommending changes and improvements to meet statutory requirements and appropriate best practice
* Maintaining the Company arrangements for accident reporting and investigation
* Reporting notifiable accidents to the HSE
* Investigating accidents, identify underlying causes and recommend corrective action
* Supporting the company system for near-miss reporting
* Investigation, completing technical reviews and audits
* Preparing reports
* Collating relevant information and reviewing progress in the light of annual Health & Safety objectives
* Carrying out periodic H&S audits
* Maintainingpersonal competence in Health & Safety through continuing professional development
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
* Previous SHEQ management experience
* A bachelor's degree or higher in Safety, Engineering, or related technical engineering field preferred
* NEBOSH qualified or equivalent qualification
* Experienced of quality systems and working to ISO standards
* Advanced knowledge of industry practices, regulatory agency requirements and industry standards
* Experience in the water industry or oil and gas sector preferred
* Very good written and oral communication skills
* Excellent computer skills
* Able to think "on your feet", and resolve issues quickly and independently
