The Company
This well established organisation design andmanufacture products for the Oil, Gas and Power industries producing high quality bespoke engineered packages. They boast a large international client base and are responsible for all stages of project execution from design, process, mechanical, electrical, manufacture, testing, packaging and shipping.
Based in Swansea they offer their employees excellent facilities and remuneration.
The Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation, organisation and control of projectrelated items to support the manufacture of our System Packages & Products, including:
* Materials control & co-ordination
* Checking certification of received goods, such as Raw Materials & Components
* Compilation of Raw Material CastMaps and Material Indexes
* Supervision of our Storeman and dealing with good inwards discrepancies
* Supervision of our Document Controller and working with manufacturing procedures & drawings
* Organising the kitting of project materials
* Liaising with our Project Managers & Engineers regarding any engineering issues
* Coordination of local sub-contractors such as Machining, Painting, Galvanizing, Pickling, Lorries, Cranes & Packing
* Coordination of Marking & Tagging of ourProducts
* Managing the preservation & packing of our Products
* Coordination of deliveries with sub-contractors and customers
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualities:
- Educated to HNC level mechanical / materials or similar
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing/engineering environmentin similar roles
- Full driving license
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities and multitask
- Computer literate MS Office
- SAGE experience prefered
- A flexible "can do" attitude
- Ability to communicate with customers, staff and shop-floor personnel
- Willing to train for a forklift and overhead crane operation certificate
