The Company
This high-tech company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and operation of electro-based water-treatment products is currently growing and looking to hire an experienced Quality Manager. This dynamic organisation are expanding globally and have an enviable reputation within their industry.
The RoleYou will plan, lead and support the companies Quality Assurance requirement. Many of the projects you will work on are overseas so travel will form part of this role. Duties will include:
* Reporting to the Director of Procurement, with matrixmanagement lines to the Programme/Project Managers as required
* Develop and implement Company Quality Management and Assurance (QM/QA) strategy, plans and procedures
* Implement and support the Programme/Project QM/QA plans
* Maintain an awarenessof new and proposed QM/QA best practice and/or any legislation
* Develop the QA capability for Company personnel and sustainable Quality capability within the Company
* Identifying and implementing ways to optimise the operational model to minimise theCost of Quality
* Developing and maintaining a system to provide accurate input to cost estimates, budgets and schedules
*Leading and preparing the company for audits, assessments and inspections from all accreditation bodies as necessary
* Ensuring an audit programme is in place, communicated to the business, performed and reported as scheduled
* Ensuring that supplier and subcontractor audits are performed and reported as scheduled
* Promoting the effective use of Quality Management and Assurance tools and reporting to Management
* Ensuring effective target setting and performance monitoring systems are in place tosupport the project
* Development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
Leads by example and acts with integrity
* Relevant qualifications, preferably a degree in a relevant/related subject
* Postgraduate qualification in Quality related field and membership in a professional body is desirable
* Experience within Oil & Gas and/or Water sectors
* Solid working experience and successful track record in QM/QA
* Supervisory / managerial experience
* Ability to be a Quality champion through inspiration and motivation
* High level of attention to detail
* Excellent project management and time management skills* Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines using initiative
* Good interpersonal and networking skills
* Good communication / people skills and a team player
* Excellent presentation skills / ability to influence the business case internally as required
* Happy to travel overseas as and when required
