The Role
You will be working in a busy dispatch center working 4 days on and 4 days off from either 06:00AM - 06:00PM or 06:00PM to 06:00AM. Duties will include:
* Managing 2 team Leaders and responsible for a team of 13-20 pickers
* Control of outbound documentation
* Overseeing loading of vehicles* Quality control
* Management of health and safety
* Strategic management of the dispatch department including forward planning on a continual basis
* All relevant computer documentation, paperwork and reporting to senior management
* Problem solving and applying relevant changes
Requirements
The following skills, experience and attributes are required for this role:
* Previous management experience in a warehouse / dispatch environment
* Proven people management skills
* Planning and strategic skills
* Solid computer skills including Excel (pivot table experience preferred)
* Well organised and proactive work style
* Ability to think outside the box and be solution orientated
* Good problem solving ability
