Description:
My Client, a leader in the retail industry, are seeking a management accountant to join their team.
Based in Westport, you would be joining a diverse group where you Will be working alongside the Financial Accountant.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management performance reports, including variance analysis.
* Manage Inventory Cost Accounting process for accurate valuations, cycle count results, and control/systems issues.
* Support Margin Reporting and Variance Analysis, including the review of standard costs.
* Assist with monthly financial accounting close.
* Participate in Annual Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
* Support Annual external audit process.
* Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) processing.
* Undertake ad hoc project work and financial analysis as required, collaborating with the Finance Manager and wider business team.
* Perform other Management Accountant-related tasks and broader financial duties as necessary.
Requirements:
* Recognised Accounting Qualification.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Excellent MS Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Strong Attention to Detail and high level of curiosity.
* Self-starter and Problem Solver.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines as appropriate.
* Team-oriented with the ability to work on own initiative.
