My client, a non-profit organisation, is actively looking for an adept Housing Officer to join their team in North County Dublin. This role offers full-time, permanent employment with a hybrid work arrangement.
As the Housing Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exemplary tenant engagement, estate management, and arrears management services, all centred around delivering top-notch customer satisfaction.
Tasks & Duties
* Oversee designated housing schemes/units according to Association policies, utilising the Housing Management System and serving as the primary resident contact.
* Conduct annual home visits to uphold tenant engagement and property upkeep, collaborating with residents to increase involvement.
* Aid residents in establishing structures such as resident associations and leverage social media platforms.
* Facilitate connections with neighbouring groups to promote community integration and provide information on beneficial external agencies.
* Attendmeetings, address complaints, enforce tenancy conditions, generate reports, support community activities, and proactively manageanti-social behaviour and tenant disputes.
* Monitor and manage rent arrears, service charges, and miscellaneous debt to prevent escalation and achieve specified objectives.
* Provide advice and support to residents in need to sustain their tenancies,including representing the Association in legal proceedings when necessary.
* Foster strong relationships with local authority housing teams, collaborating on vacancy notifications and allocation coordination.
* Evaluate prospective tenants, conduct pre-tenancy training, oversee new tenant arrivals, property lettings, and vacancy periods while maintaining up-to-date housing management files via computer systems.
* Assess maintenance contractor performance through tenant satisfaction reports and inspections, coordinating repairs and service orders with Property Services and the Tenant Support Desk.
* Fulfil miscellaneous responsibilities related to training, business development, health & safety, administrative & financial procedures, and regulatory compliance, as directed by the line manager.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
* A minimum of 3 year's experience as a housing officer is essential.
* Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
* Reporting & analysing skills.
* Full clean driver's license with access to own vehicle is essential.
* Property or Professional Housing Management Qualification is highly desirable.
* Previousexperience in driving digital projects and social media usage to drive business is desirable.
