Hi, I'm Karly and I love my city!
I'm an Edinburgh native, a qualified historian with 10 years teaching experience and I know my city like the back of my hand and love how multicultural it has become over the last 10 years. My passion is to take visitors off the beaten track to discover Edinburgh's hidden food and drink gems. I created my tour to give visitors an authentic take on Edinburgh through the eyes of its locals whilst giving back to the community by providing custom to local independent eateries.
Your Scottish food and drink journey will begin outside the historic Barclay Viewforth Church in Bruntsfield. From there we will visit Edinburgh's biggest park and greenspace, the Meadows, for some history about what really happened on this land that dates back to Medieval times.
We will then travel on foot to two chic, artisan areas of Edinburgh where we will visit 4 over-the-counter eateries for our food tastings. We will also visit a drinks establishment to sample some Scottish craft beer, gin and whisky and you'll learn about how they are all made.
Whilst you’re sampling the tasters you will find out about how that particular food was lovingly made and you'll get to meet the owners of the eateries who will tell you their unique story about their business.
If you're up for a good time and love food, drink and a bit of history thrown in, then this tour of Edinburgh is perfect for you!
