YOUR MEMBERSHIP EXPLAINED
Annual membership costs £1000 per year, and you will receive a unique membership-number (or bar code).
Your membership number provides you with a free pass to a list of event and knowledge transfer delivered by Big Innovation Centre. A 3-year activity agenda is in this brochure. A 2-Year Membership is £1500 at Programme launch.
You will use your membership-number (or bar code) for booking and scanning when you enter meetings, events and activities.
Get cashback
If a person buys a membership and lists your booking number (or bar-code) as a referral, you will get £100 cashback and the person registering will get £100 cashback. Meaning, just ten references can allow the full refund of your annual membership, plus you might even want to gain revenue by further referrals.
Booking activities and events
In an all-inclusive deal, Members can book a 'pass' to attend an event or meeting in advance, on a first come first basis, and there will be an automatic waiting list.
Point system:
A point system, of 250 points per member, is implemented ACROSS ALL PROGRAMMES RUN BY BIG INNOVATION CENTRE. The point system avoids people clocking up the system for other Members, by booking all event spaces at once. (NB: You might recognise this system from how some sports-centres operate or from all-inclusive holidays).
- Each event or activity has allocated points.
- Once an event is over, the points are handed back to the member to book new events. You do that by showing your membership number (or scanning your bar-code) at the entrance to the event.
- Hence, very active members can keep booking unlimited throughout the year and regain their points, and less active members can book their priority events.
Cancellation:
If you do not turn up to an event you have booked and have not cancelled before the event starts, the points for your booked event in question remains frozen for six months. If you can't make it, remember to cancel to avoid keeping spaces closed from other members on the waiting list.
The public and others
There is an allocated fixed number of 'passes' to Members for each event or activity. This number displayed as "max people". Please note, "max people" number may be changed from time to time, depending on room size and uptake.
- This number does not include the spaces which must be kept open to the public on the All Party-Parliamentary Groups, which also hold spaces to Parliamentarians and for reporting and the media.
- Some programmes are members only.
- If or when there is “tickets sale” to the public in some instances (e.g. Open Mic Innovation Night), the Members naturally attend for free, by using the usual Member route of booking their 'pass', using their member number (or bar-code).
- Room capacity varies, so standing places are sometimes the only option on the All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
Your fee
Member fees are used to sponsor research which underpins the thought-leadership of our events, secretarial support and administration, logistics and the activities themselves. (NB: None of our programmes, including those with UK Parliament, are supported by allocated government funding or tax-payment.)
