Apprenticeships Coordinator - 12 month FTCAn exciting new role is being developed to support a project called "Careers in Care, Swindon" where we aim to recruit a large number of Apprentices into the care sector locally. These Apprenticeships will be fantastic opportunities for people who don't have a track record in health and social care and want to start their journey towards a new career in care.

As an Apprenticeships Coordinator you will be responsible for managing the admin and coordination to find and place Healthcare apprentices intothe sector.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a performance focused individual with proven experience in the effective delivery of apprenticeships, both in frameworks and apprenticeship standards. It is essential that you know how the apprenticeship system works in its entirety, from the utilisation of apprenticeship levy and enrolment compliance, through to progress management and successful apprenticeship completion. Critical thinking and analytical decision making will be essential to ensure you can prioritise workload effectively and drive the best outcome for the apprentices. You will need to evidence strong stakeholder management skills and be able to confidently influence decision making in order to do this.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accountability for 100% data quality across all apprenticeships to ensure a standardised source that will inform all decision making for apprenticeship delivery.



* Coordinate, facilitate and develop partnerships between employers and training providers, linking into skills boards and Skills for Care to opportunities.



* Promote apprenticeships,work placements and other reskilling and training options to help unemployed people re-skill for care careers.



* Successfully market the apprenticeship offer and assist in creating the next care managers and social workers by having links with colleges and schools to ensure the student pathways from education to the apprenticeship opportunities within the care sector.* Understanding NEET and assist the Skills boards and SBC gain employment within the care sector.



* Facilitate andcontinually improve apprenticeship delivery through external training providers and internal stakeholders.



* Support recruitment and the delivery of induction for new apprentices.



* Work with relevant stakeholders to support apprenticeship delivery within the service. This could include guidance, coaching / mentoring or other interventions.



* Communicateclearly and in advance, the key apprenticeship timelines to those supporting an apprentice.



* Facilitate the day to day delivery of apprenticeships through the apprenticeship providers.



* Facilitate the delivery of internal learning anddevelopment interventions to support the achievement of the apprenticeship.



* Enable the regular review of all apprentice's progress, ensuring actions are captured digitally and carried out by all parties.

Key skills & responsibilities* Previous experience working with Apprenticeships
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
* Diary management experience and excellent time management skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proactive, hands on with the ability to use own initiative

Contractual working hours of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.Employment subject to rigorous checks including Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
