Are you an experiencedLan Manager with a background in Food safety?
My client, a well renowned Food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to join their team.
You will have responsibility for the operation of the laboratories (microbiology & chemical laboratories) to ensure that sampling & testing is carried out in accordance with the site's testing schedules.
Reporting to the Technical manager you will liaise on matters affecting product safety, integrity, authenticity, quality and legality. Meanwhile you will be responsible for the day to day development and training of 2 FT lab analysts, 3 PT analysts and 3 domestic cleaners.
You will be identifying non-conformances and releasing products based on organoleptic, microbiological &chemical testing results. Crucially you will ensure the laboratories conform to and maintain the CLAS (Campden Labs Accreditation Scheme) standard.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications in a relevant subject (E.g. Microbiology,Food science, food safety, HACCP)
· Experience and Knowledge of;

* Continuous Improvement
You will be able to effectively communicate at all levels and use your methodical way of thinking to prioritise tasks and make important decisionwhen necessary.
In return you will receive a salary around £30,000-£35,000 along with benefits including;
* 26 days hols+ 8 bank hols
* Pension cont of 6% after 3m
