My client is a rapidly growing Food manufacturer based in the heart of Leicester. They are intent on really shaking things up in their market and always put employee and customer satisfaction at the heart of everything they do.They are looking for an experienced Process Development Technologist to work cross functionally with NPD, sales and external customers to implement and execute the Company's NPD programme.
You'll have the intuition to identify opportunities for the development of new products and processes that will contribute to the overall profitability of the business and you will manage the product pipeline from concept approval to launch.
For all new products you will carry out HACCP analysis on the process and identify CCP's and ensure systems are in place. This role will involve constantly working with suppliers to push them for latest new techniques, flavours and products to keep the company ahead of the competition.
The successful candidate will hold anHonours degree or equivalent level qualification in Food Science, Technology or Food Engineering and will have significant experience working in NPD for an FMCG food manufacturer.
Previous experience in a brand led Process Development role is essential, and experience of ambient products and partnership work with the key retailers is desirable.
Applicants must have an in-depth understanding of NPD process in a manufacturing environment, process control and statistical capability and a proven track record project managing, delivering to a high standard and to tight deadlines.
The salary for this role is circa. £30,000 andyou get 23 days holiday excluding bank holidays and a 4% employer/employee pension.
