WHAT IS IN DR. NUMB?
Active: Lidocaine
Excipients: Carbopol, Lecithin, Vitamin E, Propylene glycol, and Purified water
HOW OFTEN CAN IT BE APPLIED?
Adults and children at least 2 years of age: Apply to affected areas not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Children under 2 years old, consult a physician. Conditions that require dose adjustments:
Elderly patients
Acutely ill patients
Patients with severe liver and kidney disease
Patients treated with other anesthetic or certain anti-arrhythmic drugs
HOW SHOULD IT BE ADMINISTERED?
Wash the area with soap and water.
Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Apply the cream and gently it into the skin evenly.
Leave it on with an occlusive dressing. It should start to take effect within 10-15 minutes and fully numb the skin within 30-60 minutes after it is applied.
Wipe the excess cream. Perform additional skin preparation as necessary.
