THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is proud tobe partnered with a top 10 UK Accountancy Practice. They're looking to hire a number of experienced Assistant Accountants to join a busy Accountancy Practice in Leeds. As the Assistant Accountant you'll have experience working in a Chartered Accounts firmand currently AAT qualified or ACCA / ACA part qualified. Reporting into the team lead the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for.
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To ensure that jobs are completed to the highest standard, within the agreed internal budget for the job and to discuss all material points with the Manager / Client / Partner
* To plan assignmentsin accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billingarrangements
* Train clients on their accounts systems
* Monitoring customer accounts: debt management & credit control* Prepare Year End Accounts / Quarterly VAT returns
* Assist in the production of monthly accounts and reports including fixed assets register, aged creditors, balance sheet, P&L
* Company Audits, Charity Audits and Pension Scheme Audits
* Accounts Preparation, both for unincorporated and incorporated entities
* Corporation tax computations
* Preparation of management accounts
KEY EXPERIENCE:
* AAT Qualified or ACA / ACCA Part Qualified / Qualified
* Competent with MS Excel
* Goodunderstanding of UK Financial reporting requirements
* Xero, Sage or QuickBooks Accountancy Software (advantageous)
* 3 years' Experience in working in an Accountancy Practice as an Assistant Accountant / Client Accountant
