Description:
Due to continued growth - our client is now seeking to hire a 2nd Group Tax Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis in Dublin.
With operate across 28+ countries, they have the Top30 Pharma companies as clients and are FTSE 250 listed with 30 years+ dividend growth.
This is a newly created position dueto expansion with a view to building a new team around the position.
Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, this key role will beresponsible for managing taxes across a number of countries globally and will support the business to advise on mergers and acquisitions, divestments, financing and tax strategy including transfer pricing.
The successful candidate should be AITI qualified with a minimum of 7 years PQE in a corporate tax environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identification and implementation of tax planning opportunities
Providing commercially focussed and actionable tax support to internal customers across all tax headsStructuring internal re-organisations and financing as well as supporting M&A activity
Working with internal finance teams and local external advisers to ensure compliance with tax filing and payment obligations locally and provision of audit defence support as required, including transfer pricing
Preparation of current and deferred tax computations under IFRS for year-endprovisioning purposes. Liaising with internal finance teams and external auditors on tax-related audit matters
Maintaining excellent relationships across finance teams and external advisors
Contribute to the management and development of the tax team
Keeping up to date with legislative developments and ensuring implications of changes are addressed appropriately
Competencies& Experience
A commercially focussed problem solver with a strong tax technical background
Broad international corporatetax, VAT and financial modelling experience will be an advantage
Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skillsA team player and able to influence cross-functional groups to implement efficient and tax compliant solutions
Strong IT skillsand experience working with corporate tax compliance software. Oracle experience an advantage.
Experienced in working to tightreporting deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications
AITI qualified with a strong practicaltax background, preferably working with a Big 4 practice or within the tax function of a PLC/MNC.
Qualified Accountant preferable or relevant accounting experience.
Minimum of 7 years' PQE working in a corporate tax environment.
