Are youlooking for a HR Generalist role in the midlands? We have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Generalist with our client in Co Offaly. This is a fixed term contract role 12 - 24 months. We are seeking applicants with strong Industrial Relations experience working in a unionised environment.

The successful candidates will provide day-to-day support to the management team across allfacets of HR, delivering best in class processes and practices to ensure successful execution of the business strategy and objectives.

The role:

* Partner with line management to ensure understanding of business strategy & objectives.
* Proactively resolve HR & business issues to accelerate the execution of the business strategy & objectives.
* Provide a professional HR service, ensuring smooth operational practices for all HR initiatives and services. Partner with line managers to ensure that people needs are met to optimise business performance.
* Act as a key business partner to the designated teams and key stakeholders within the business to ensure business performance targets are met. This includes advising on best practice, supporting the development and implementation of robust and appropriate people strategies and initiatives that deliver against current and future business requirements.
* Provide HR advice to Line Managers and employees throughout all stages of the employee life cycle, ensuring advice is legally compliant and in line with company policy & procedure.
* Management of full recruitment cycle from advertising, screening, interviewing. Co-ordinate on boarding & off boarding including induction, exit interviews, etc.
* Drive annual talent management activities and diverse engagement programmes. Manage the annual performance management process to include line manager coaching, performance improvement and continuous development.
* Support business communication strategy that is transparent and positive for all colleagues, maintaining channels for bottom up and top down communications. Drive organisational and cultural change through effective use of organisational design and change management strategies and tools in conjunction with the HR Manager.
* Provide HR advisory service on disciplinary, grievance, employee relations issues. Prepare the weekly and monthly payroll files. Maintain absence management system and reporting to include annual leave, sick leave, etc. Support the HR Manager with annual activities as they arise including annual salary review and APP review.
* Maintain and update Oracle to ensure employee data is up to date and that information is available to support business planning and decision making. Report on metrics across the business.
* All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken bythe company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.
* Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives

The Person:



* Honours Degree in HR, Business Studies or other related discipline is essential;
* 3 -5 year's previous experience
* Industrial Relations experience
* Manufacturing, and experience of working in a unionised environment is preferable* Strong interpersonal, influencing, coaching and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders
* Strong working knowledge of employment law is required
* Self-motivated & resilient with the capacity to work under pressure
* Strong negotiation skills
* Strong attention to detail
