My client is a not for profit organisation in Swansea, they are looking for aHR officer to join their growing HR team. You will be joining a busy HR team where the business is growing year by year, it is an exciting time to join the business as they are always busy with recruitment,
The main duties of this role will be to monitorsickness and absence management across the business. You will have meetings and reviews with staff members who have been off onsick leave more than the business allows, this is to be done with a soft approach giving positive guidance and helping employees access health and wellbeing support as well as assisting managers in managing their employees' return to work. You will also be involved in grievances across the business.
In time you'll have exposure to wider HR projects, recruitment and other HR casework as required.
To be successful in this role you will need to have some experience in a HR team, having an idea of sicknessand absence policies, you will be a positive person with an excellent phone manner and be able to provide excellent customer service and build good working relationships with people you will be working with. You must be a self-starter and be able to workwell at your own devices without being micromanaged. Some recruitment experience and dealing with new starters would be beneficial for this post as there are elements involved in the role.
