FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a very progressive Agri business. This is a full time permanent role.
The successful candidate for this role will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with the Production Manager , Hygiene , Maintenance & Quality teams.
Duties
* The logistics co-ordinator will report to the Operations manager and his main functions will be to co-ordinate a transport delivery schedule to suit customer demands, working alongside the mill production team to meet those demands in the most efficient way possible.
* Responsible for the distributionand delivery of the complete range of products Animal Feed , Fertiliser , Chemicals, Seeds, Grains etc.
* To work with the mill supervisor in organising production to match the delivery schedule.
* Will have a active role in managing maintenance, hygiene, quality, medication, downtime etc
* Help to ensure that all processes are carried out to comply with regulatory bodies including UFAS and the Department of Agriculture.
* Develop a full understanding of all the different work stations within the mill to include mill Intake, out loading, milling operations, bagging, harvest intake and drying.
* Provide cover for all workstations and help in managing holidays and all types of staff leave.
* Offer support and participate in a continuous improvement programmes including LEAN
* Take an active role in managing the harvest and grain storage on site.
* Participate in identifying non-conformances and implementing corrective actions as agreed.
* Attend productions meetings and all lean meetings.* Develops an understanding of KPI in relation to all operations.
* Work with a continuous improvement mentality and be involved in improvement projects as required.
Candidate profile
* A minimum of 2 years work experience in Logistics / Production
* Ability to work to deadlines & prioritise a busy work schedule
* An understanding of farming / agriculture a distinct advantage
* 3rd level degree in Agriculture or related discipline an advantage
