Get Recruited are supporting a well established, rapidly expanding company based in Newton Abbot who are seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineerto join their team due to year on year growth.
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive support service to internal staff. You will be a self-motivated individual seeking the next step in your IT career, often working independently and showing your own initiative in order to complete tasks.

* As the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, you will act as the main point of contact for all staff regarding IT issues
* Log and classify all calls using the IT Service Desk Software
* Constantly monitor the stability of the IT systems and equipment
* Administer the ERP system
* Deploy new hardware and software when appropriate
* Set up any new starters withinthe business
* Ensure that governance processes are implemented and followed
THE PERSON:
* 2 years hands-on experiencein a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role or similar
* Solid experience of Microsoft - Server, Windows 7/10 and Office 365
* Previous experience providing support for laptops, desktops and handheld devices
* Experience of troubleshooting hardware and software
* A strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, vLAN, firewalls and VPN technologies
* The ability to carry out networking tasks such as antivirus updates and backup systems
* Recognised industry qualification (Microsoft MTA / CompTIA A+/N+) ishighly desirable
