Work Wales are privileged to be working with a successful and growing international business based in Llanelli. Due to their positive year they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team, the engineer will be responsible for New Product Introduction or modification supporting stamping & assembly regardingQuality Documentation and will have a proven background in successful application of QA techniques supported by excellent problem solving skills. You will need a current driving license, as travel to customers and suppliers will be required as and when necessary and be prepared for periods away from home at domestic and foreign customers.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities; Regular duties / activities associated with the role.
Preparation of customer APQP and PPAP documentsCreate FMEA's, Control Plans and internal documentation
Lead introduction of new checking fixture / measurement gaugeProvide timing for quality milestones and activities for Project timing plan
Create and obtain approval for measurement gauge concept with customerEnsuring Quality milestonesare achieved
MSA studies on CMM fixtures and gauges Statistical analysis of measurements results from capability studies.
Buy-off criteria for the fixtures and gauges from supplierEscalate issues that could potentially undermine the program
Ensure all fixtures and gauges are entered onto the Calibration systemCommunication and Presentations, directly with Customers and internal
Component buy-off at tool makers Managing Non Conformances (AIMS etc) and implementing procedures and tools including NCR'sand 8D's.
