HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER

LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE

UP TO £50,000 + GREAT BENEFITS

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of an amazing property located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre that is seeking an experienced General Manager to jointhe team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day operations, improving quality, business performance, teamefficiency and profitability. The already amazing property is due to undergo a significant make-over and making this one of themost prestigious properties in its class. This is the perfect opportunity for a career driven individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsible for management of 4 members of mid-level management and ensuring that all members of the team are fully motivated
* Full P & L Management of the property, maximise all revenue streams and to maintain strict cost controls
* Liaising with Directors & Finance Teams to agree and set budgets
* Oversee purchasing and agree appropriate sign off
* Optimising the operations way of working to ensure full operational capacity
* Ensuring the property achieves budgets and agreed business plans
* Management, coaching, training & development of all onsite personnel
* Responsible for management and communication Reception/Reservations, Housekeeping, Guest Experience & maintenance teams
* Responsible for the smooth operation of the property and for ensuring that all guest enjoy a quality experience
* Liaising with HR on recruitment matters and taking an active role in the selection of new recruits and staff inductions
* Working closely with the sales, channel and reservations team to ensure that the property is achieving full occupancy levels
* Communicating with finance team with regards to corporate accounts
* Responsible for Health and Safety and ensuring that property is full compliance
* Rota management of 24/7 operation and ensuring that on call cover is sufficient to manage all out of hours matter that occur
* Reviewing all processes to ensure that efficiencies are achieved
* Responsible for inspecting the property to ensure that it maintained to a high standard
* Build strong meetings with the sales division on local intelligence, trends, competitors, promotional activities andrevenue opportunities

THE PERSON:

* Experienced General Manager from a Hotel or Serviced Apartments industry
* A proven track record in managing and developing people including Housekeeping, Maintenance, Service and front of house teams
* P&L Management experience and exposure to managing budgets is essential
* Good knowledge of revenue generation, yield management and guest experience/
* Excellent experience in H&S and compliance management
