We have exciting opportunities for a young persons Care/Support worker to join the teamcovering a variety of day and waking night nights. The hours would involve working on a flexible bank basis and can involve early, late and night shifts. Staff would be responsible for the provision of supporting young people with Learning disabilities, Complex needs, and Challenging Behavior.
Candidates would need to be very pro-active in supporting individuals within an organisation that offers care leavers both accommodation and mentoring. Duties would include supporting individuals in taking control of their future, providing them with a safe and assured environment where the young people are able to develop their skills inorder to cope with everyday living as a step towards independent living
Essential skills/Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills; - Hold at least a level 3 qualification specifically within Children and Young People - At least one years experience in a social care setting and a minimum of six months supporting a similar client group - Goodcommunication skills and a great deal of patience.
A DBS check is required to be completed before commencement of this role and will need to be funded by the candidate if not on the update service.
