Home Help - Support Worker
First City Nursingand Care are seeking domestic, shopping and companionship as a home help community-based service in the Isle of Wight.
FirstCity are currently looking for Home Helps for our customers in the Isle of Wight and all surrounding areas. First City Nursing and Care Home Help Service offers support within the Customers own homes to the Elderly & Vulnerable people of the Isle of Wight (No personal care is provided) Services include all domestic duties, shopping, prescription collections, companionship and sitting service as carer relief.
Being a Home Help is such a rewarding job. You will visit the same customers at the same dayand time each week which means you can you really get to know your customers.
Responsibilities:
* Required to clean communal areas (including toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, halls, lounges etc.),
* General cleaning duties to include dusting/vacuuming/polishing/ emptying bins/laundry/ironing
* (including making or changing beds) If required
* This will include replacing sundry toiletry items such as toilet rolls, soap, etc
* Shopping and the preparation of shopping lists
* Preparation of snacks and meals (If required)

Working hours are Monday to Friday flexible to suit the needs ofthe customers, a driver's licence is essential with access to your own vehicle as you would need to access the supermarkets anddeliver shopping to our customers. Experience is not necessary as a full, high quality, in-house induction training will be provided followed by shadowingexperienced healthcare assistants before commencing independent working.

Hours - Flexible Monday to Friday with calls ranging between 1hr to 3 hrs.
Hourlyrate - £8.91ph
Mileage - 30 pence per mile (please note that you are not paid for driving to your first call or home from your last call but everything in between.
