Description:
PCB is currently seekingan experienced Occupational Physician with full UK GC registration.
Physician will be required to support with a 4 hour clinic once a week, every two weeks. Physicians will be paid £450.00 per clinic and will be working within a manufacturing environment in the area of Kitts Green, Birmingham.
Requirements of the role include some of the following;
*Assess the fitness ofwork for specific tasks, ensuring a satisfactory fit between person and job, recommending suitable adjustments to enable a person to undertake the work they have been selected to perform safely and effectively, considering any health issues or disabilitiesthey may have. This requires understanding the tasks performed on the shop floor/liaising with Area Managers
*Feedback to sickness absence team (OH / HR and production).
*Advise employees and employers regarding work-related health issues.
*Writtenadvise to be given and documented as required
*Work with employers to promote best practice in physical and mental health in the workplace to reduce sick-ness absence.
*Recommend suitable alternate work in circumstances where a worker cannot perform their normal job, either temporarily or on a permanent basis because of a health problem.
*Determine whether employees satisfy the medical criteria for ill health retirement under the terms of the relevant pension fund rules; Liaise with treatment specialist and HR.
*Liaise with areas/provide written reports memos as required.
*Liaise with Occupational Health and EHS Dept on policy updates.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
