Description:
PCB Care are recruiting permanent Support Workers in the London Borough of Barnet
Main Duties:
* To be an active member of a team that supports people with disabilities to be as independent as possible
*Work with individuals and groups of people.
*Support people to participate in and develop everyday living skills including but not restricted to escorting on centre transport and promotion of socialising.
*Support people with their personal care,including washing and dressing, toileting, nail and hair care, maintaining their general appearance.
*With the guidance and support of senior team members support people to manage their health and wellbeing, administering medication, implementing therapeutic programmes, eating, swallowing guidelines & manual handling etc.
*Support current relationships with family and friends.
*With the guidance of colleagues undertake administrative work activities such as dealing with petty cash, using IT equipment, monitoring, recording & reporting etc.
*Monitor and record service delivery for reporting purposes
37.5 hrs a week (No Waking Nights/Sleep ins) Shifts on a rota basis including weekends 7 - 3pm and 3- 10pm
No experience needed but you needto be keen to learn, empathetic, not phased or put off by a range of situations
Full training is provided - Care Certificateand specialist training
