JOB SUMMARY
First City Nursing is a community care organisation. First City deliver Lead Provider contracts on behalf of Swindon and the Isle of Wight Councils where in addition to delivering innovative care we manage the market in partnership with Local Councils. First City employ almost 400 staffand support over 1000 people to live in the community.
As a large community care business we are responsible for managing large budgets, significant volumes of performance information and other systems. We are looking to expand our team with an individual who has a passion for developing technical solutions within a dynamic business context.
The postholder will workacross the business and with external stakeholders to improve system automation and improve the way technology is used across the business. The postholder will be responsible for supporting the development of technical solutions across the business from automating annual leave requests to researching new apps that might enable someone to live at home independently.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional
* Review and implement technical automated solutions for capturing data and performance information.
* Review implement and support the design of business processes via software and hardware.
* Maintainan asset register of ICT Hardware
* Develop relationship with our external ICT partners
* Work closely with the tech enabledcare program to research how technology can be utilised within community care.
Management
* Provide technicalsupport to staff across the business
* Contribute to data impact assessments and review of information governance processes.* Ensure safeguarding processes and procedures are followed at all times, support with the ongoing development of a collaborative approach to safeguarding practice.
Communication
* Participate in regular supervision as dictated by line manager
* Contribute effectively to team working in a professional and advisory capacity
Service development
*Work with business units to ensure compliance with KPIs ( Key Performance Indicators)
* Develop proposals for automating processes, investment in ICT Hardware and systems
General
* This job description is not exhaustive and can be altered in consultation with the post holder.
* Any additional duties which may be requested by the line manager in order to facilitate the smooth running of the service
Skills requirements
Essential:
- Good understanding of Microsoft systems (e.g., Excel)
- Good computer literacy
- Good English competency
- Good Maths competency
- Interest in technology and how it can support those in need of care
- Excellent attention to detail
- Creative thinker/Problem solver

- Good Interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Sharepoint, PowerAutomate)
- Experience with data processing and analytics
- Knowledge and understanding of social care
