ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

UP TO £30,000

Get Recruited are currently recruiting for a market leading Educational provider based in Liverpool who are going through an exciting period of growth. As a result, they are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their head office.
As the Accounts Assistant, youwill be responsible for the day to day financial management of the company, from bookkeeping and bank reconciliations through tothe preparation of management accounts.
This role would suit an individual from an accounts assistant / finance assistant /assistant accountant background.

THE ROLE:
* Manage the day to day finances of the company
* Reconciling transactions and filing invoices
* Management of budgets including investigating variances
* Leading monthly budget meetings
* Assist in the preparation of year end accounts
* Recording and monitoring of VAT and PAYE
*Comply with GAAP for financial statements
* Complete any other duties as required
THE PERSON:
* At least 2 years experience as an accounts assistant / finance assistant / assistant accountant is essential
* A recognised professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA is required
* Experience working with Xero or a similar accounting package
* Knowledge ofPAYE and VAT regulations
* The ability to work independently
