SEN Casework Officer
Midlands
Are you currently working within SEN? Do you want to help make a positive change in the life of children with SEN?
We are looking to appoint an experienced and inspiring SEN officer to start in Dec contract basis,
Theright candidate will play a key part in helping to determine the best way of moving forward to meet the needs of children with SEN/ Special educational needs.
Requirements of this position include:
* Undergoing fieldwork to assess the casework of young people who require an Education, Health and Care Plan.
* The first point of contact when liaising with multidisciplinary agencies, parents, and carers.
* To represent the Local Authority and chair meetings, including statutory meetings with parents/carers and young people and attending annual.
* Building relationships and coordinating assessments.
* If you're the rightapplicant you will have experience of working in or with schools and will have exceptional communication skills.
In order tobe considered for this role, the candidate must have experience as an SEN Case Officer with working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and legislation within SEN provisions. It is essential that you have worked within a local authority setting as an SEN Case Officer.
