SEN Team Manager
6 Month Contract
My local authority client are looking for an interim SEN Team Manager for an initial 6 month contract.
As a skilled operator, you naturally look to develop plans which include clear objectives and create positive outcomes ensuring close collaboration with colleagues across the local authority, key stakeholder as well as service providers. With the aim to ensure children and young people remain at the heart of everything you do and their voice and views are taken into account when planning, delivering and improving services.
Reporting to the Head of SEN, the successful candidate will have strongleadership skills, in-depth knowledge of SEN and outstanding organisational skills.
Responsibilities would include:
* Managing a team of SEN Case Officers within the Statutory Assessment Service.
* Providing day to day management and supervisionof the team
* Quality assurance of complex plans
* Working with schools across the local authority to raise confidence andbuilding capacity for SEN provision.
* Streamlining processes and procedures within the SEN Team.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have previous experience management experience with and SEN Statutory Assessment Team and excellent knowledge of legal SEN Code of Practice and Tribunal processes.
