Description:
Our client, based in Carlow, requires an experienced Product Support Engineer.
You will be joining an established, home grown, Irish engineering and production company who sells their product/machinery world wide.
You will have a Mechanical, Mechatronic or Agri Engineering degree (level 7/8) coupled with a minimum of 2 years dealership or engineering support experience.
Your busy and varied day will include the following duties:
- provide technical support to customers/dealerships and products in the field, addressing customer questions and concerns, troubleshooting technical problems by email, phone and customer call outs.
- through your investigations, you will contribute to product knowledge and help make future technical support easier.
- report defects and offer suggestions for product improvements, thus finding solutions to problems and working through technical difficulties that may arise.
- produce material for the purposes of product training
- travelling to Distributors and Dealers to present these technical developments and know-how, ensuring that our partners are competent in dealing with technical issues that arise.
This role would suit someone who has an agri background, engineering degree and some previous product/engineering support experience.
