Description:
My client based in Cannock, Staffordshire who are a successful and well established manufacturing company working within the automotive sector are looking for a Cost Analyst/Engineer to join them initially for a minimum 6 month contact position with the possibility to develop into a permanent position.
As a Cost Analyst/Engineer you will be responsible for the timelyand accurate completion of the GQS process definitions for all quotations, including tooling estimations.
As part of the role you will be expected to analyse the inputs from the various process definition managers and to have input into the make vs buyprocess, define head count data used in quotations, confirm all investment & tooling costs are value for money.
The roleof Cost Analyst/Engineer will involve:
·Reviewing and proposing best fit stampings, aluminium extrusion ,assembly productionroutes
·Completing aluminium extrusion quotation data as appropriate
·Assisting in all forecast, business plan and budget meetings when required
·Maximising head count utilisation assumptions for quotations
You must have:
·Ability to carry out in depth cost analysis of all manufacturing processes and challenge all the process definition inputs to ensure the most effective
·Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
·Extensive working knowledge of aluminium extrusion processes and tools
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines
The ideal candidate will havea good level of experience and knowledge of steel pressing, welding , coatings, aluminium extrusion, mechanical fixings, etc. -Preferably within the motor industry
