Job Description:·Lead a team of direct reports (5-10 approx)
·Directly manage engineers and perform performance reviews in line with company processes.
·Be responsible for team member development (both professional and pastoral).
·Support team members by acting as a technical expert in the appropriate field.
·Manage recruitment of new engineers in line with the department manager's goals. Thiswill include CV review, interviewing and support of company recruitment programmes.
Job Requirement:
·Ideally a first classdegree or upper 2nd in Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, or other highly quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
·Programming C/C++ in an embedded environment
·Experience working with RTOS software development. eg Integrity, FreeRTOS, RTEMS, VxWorks, Linux embedded (kernel development and debugging, Yocto, Buildroot, low leveldrivers)
·Version Control eg Mercurial, GIT, SVN
