Plastic has had its day, and with the continuation of the emphasis on reduction of usage, other industries are beginningto re-emerge and opening up positions for new technology.
My client are a specialist designer of materials handling equipment for the non-plastic packaging sector. They are a global company with a UK based just outside Manchester and, based on thedemise of plastics, they have experienced a quick increase in turnover and are now looking to expand their Automation Team to keep up with demand.
This role is for a Controls Engineer who is hungry to develop and learn how to build SCADAs and PLCsfrom scratch. The company have developed a bespoke SCADA system in C++ which means you will be developed in the full architecture of the software that goes into Packaging.
This is a massive opportunity for someone who wants to become a true expertas you will have the chance to learn directly from the inventor of a hugely successful piece of software. You will also have a great team to work alongside you and support from senior management to ensure you have all the tools to organise and lead.In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in the following:
* Automation Design (PLC based) - They use Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
* Experience in Materials Handling or Conveyors would be a massive benefit though not essential.
* Experience of, or ambition to, lead a team of Automation Engineers.
