Role Title: Mechanical Architect
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £60,000 plus bonus and benefits (depending on experience)
What's the opportunity?
Mechanical Architects are involved in all aspects of electronic warfare development, from the early concept studies to series production and in-service support. It's an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to build on their engineering experienceand progress to a more senior technical role.
This role is certainly unique! Developing and shaping Electronic Warfare capability is no small feat, and will certainly offer its challenges, as it's across the most critical programmes across the company.Requirements:
* Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) with significant experience of mechanical engineering and stakeholder management
* Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines
* Strong leadership skills, able to establish a clear engineering vision
* Good knowledge and experience of mechanical & electro-mechanical design, including:
*Static & Dynamic Analysis
* Design for Environment, Cost, Manufacture
* Thermal Management
* Good understanding ofbroader engineering disciplines, such as:
* Aerodynamics
* Materials
* Vibration, Shock, Fatigue
* Six Sigma & Lean Design
* Critical Parameter Management
* Systems Engineering V-model
* Failure Mode & Effects Analysis
* Test Design eg Design of Experiments
* Experience across the full Product Life Cycle
You'll have a bonus on your basic salary which is up to 21%! On average this pays out 16.5% every year and is in addition to your yearly pay reviews in March. Salary depends on your experience, but with such a good package on offer they will ideally be expecting an in-depth knowledge of electronic warfare in order to be successful.
