Description:

Project Controls Trainer/Lecturer - Train the next generation of Project Controls professionals!!

London - £50k per annum with flexible working

Are you a Project Controls professional but looking to improve your work-life balance? Maybe you're sick of working in high-pressure environments or are now looking for more job satisfaction? Has your personal situation changed and you're looking for added flexibility from your next role? Perhaps you just want to do something different? Well you may be in luck - we currently have an extremely rare opportunity to train the next generation of Project Controls professionals in an official setting in Central London.Could this be your calling?!

We're excited about this opportunity to represent a training provider in their search for an experienced Project Controller who is perhaps looking for something new to get their teeth stuck into. Our client delivers dedicated Project Controls training to Apprentice-level employees (aged both 16+ and 18+) of major international organisations across the infrastructure, construction and power sectors; specifically, you would be teaching basic concepts with the end goal to improve overall standards within the industry. Your role will be to provide the knowledge that these students can then apply in practical solutions in the workplace, hopefully helping them to develop an improved skillset in the process. For clarity, this training course is based on Project Controls fundamentals and concepts - this is not software training! The students attend training roughly two days per month over a three year period and your role will be to manage multiple training groups as they progressthrough different stages of the course.

Flexibility is a major selling point in this role and the current workload is circa 10-12 days worth of proactive teaching per month - outside of this you will be required to attend our client's office onceor twice per month but can work from home for the remaining. 85% of the content has already been prepared and is ready to be presented but you will be able to put your own stamp on it if you wish.

Our client is looking for:

* Significant experience in a Project Controls role previously (cost or planning background).
* Project Controls knowledge - doesn't matter if youhave a planning or cost bias but you must possess an in-depth knowledge that allows you to deliver training on all project controls elements, including change management, risk, planning, cost, etc, etc.
* Educated to AT LEAST A-level standard in the UKbut ideally degree level, etc. This is essential.
* Some previous experience in some sort of training/teaching role would be advantageous.
* Confident and personable individual who is comfortable engaging with large groups.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* The last requirement and arguably the biggest is that you have a genuine desire and passion to train young students in Project Controls. This is a landmark scheme and thus a key role for our client (and the apprentices who benefit from the training!) and our client is looking for someone who really wants to deliver this training to a high standard.

So whats on offer?The salary is £50,000 per annum plus a benefits package comprising pension, private medical and 25 days holiday per year - thisis high in comparison to a typical Lecturer within the current education system but obviously lower than you could earn as an acting Project Controller, hence this position will only suit an individual who is looking for job satisfaction that goes beyonda financial package. Flexibility is a big part of this role and you'll have the opportunity to work from home when not delivering training, with the exception of 1-2 days per month spent in the office.
