THE OPPORTUNITY: Commercial Account Handler
We're exclusively supporting a thriving business located in Manchester who are looking to grow their team as part of their strategic expansion plans over the coming few months.
As a Commercial Account Handler, you'll be delivering a prompt and professional service to existing businesses along with fellow Account handler & Account Executives, To assist with new business broking and to help ensure the smooth internal running of the General Insurance office.

THE PACKAGE:
£25,000 to £32,500 Basic

THE ROLE: Commercial Account Handler
* To ensure professional service of existing accountsand retention of renewals to achieve company income targets in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Procedure Manual
* To assist in the conversion of new business
* Help ensure Commercial Department works pro-actively to achieve targets set by the Managing Director
* Respond to enquiries from clients and insurers received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated
* To share responsibility for dealing with any actions attaching to existing clients on mid-term adjustments.
THE PERSON:
* experience in the management of existing clients records in terms of accuracy and quality ofadvice
* experience offering superior client service
* experience in renewal Retention in accordance with budgeted income* ability to successfully cross sell a range of products
* Finding/suggesting opportunities to promote the company or increase business revenue and implementing the ideas
Qualifications
* Must have at appropriate industry experience
* Must havegood technical knowledge of the commercial market
* Product knowledge should include
*
1 Professional indemnity
2 Directors & Officers
3 Employment Practices Liability
4 Complex non-package Commercial Combined
5 Public & Employment Liability
* Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Must have an aptitude for sales and actively promote the company
* Must understand renewal processes and be able to exercise efficient timing in order to manage the departmental diary system and produce renewal documentation
* Must be able to work in a structured and planned manner and be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail
* Knowledge of a wide range of trades is required with good knowledge and understanding of available markets and current market conditions
* CII qualifications: the employee is preferably already part-qualified. At a minimum they should be keen to pursue formal CII qualifications immediately upon commencing the role, and show appropriate ongoing progress.
