Panoramic Associates are delighted to be partnered with a leading insurer based in West Yorkshire in their search for an Operational Risk Manager. It is an exciting opportunity where you be critical in safeguarding the organisation, its' customers, reputation and assets by identifying and managing all threats to the business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Identifying the external and internal risks that the company faces, evaluating, with the risk owner, the likely effect of these risks, introducing a range of control measures and monitoring and evaluating the success of these measures
* Operate as the recognised Company expertin Information Technology Risk and advise and educate staff, at all levels, on risk matters
* Identify and implement best practice, and roll out the Risk Management toolkit across the business
* Provide risk management guidance, support, education andtraining to staff at all levels
* Monitor, evaluate and challenge the organisation's success in managing its risks
* Lead and represent Risk Management with the IT Portfolio Team on all IT based project risk
* In the absence of the Head of Operational Risk and Compliance, represent Risk Management in all key IT Group meetings
Experience:
* Previous experience in a 2ndLine of Defence role supporting Information Technology
* Experience of IT risk and control evaluation programmes in an audit,internal controls or compliance monitoring environment and had input into the design of the programme
* Demonstrable risk management experience
* Working knowledge of operational risk and firm understanding of insurance risk
* Detailed knowledge ofcontrol assurance methods
* Experience of documenting and evaluating processes
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
*Ideally from an insurance background, however would consider someone from wider Financial Services
