What You Will Be Doing
* Line Management ofEngineers on the Subscription product team
* Performance management
* Facilitating engineering onboarding process
* Development and progression of engineers
* Alignment of engineers and Product Managers
* Technical planning within the Subscription product team
* Workforce planning & resourcing:
* Liaise with Product Managers and leadership to plan product roadmap- allocating resources and advising on constraints and realistic time frames
* Contribute to hiring plans and developing the hiring process
* Take part in the hiring/interview process
* Continually look to improve the way the team operates
* Help develop and implement engineering cultural values
* Contribute to planning engineering strategy, and execution
* Responsiblefor ensuring a highly engaged and motivated team
What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role
* 4+ years experience of managing a team of engineers (of 7+ engineers)
* 5+ years previous experience as an engineer at a senior level
* Proven engineering scaling experience - within a start-up/scale-up environment
* Strong line management skills with the ability todevelop a team
* You know what good looks like for a high-performing team of engineers - you will have done this 2 or 3 times* Empathetic with the ability to build strong, effective relationships
* You should care deeply about helping others achieve their goals, avoid burnout, and become the best engineers they can be
