Kenect Drivers are currently recruiting for 2 x experienced LGV2, HGV2 Refuse Drivers for a permanent driver / loader role with our Birmingham based client (B40). The position will become permanent after a 12 week temporary assignment via Kenect.
Our client are specialists in waste management and recycling throughout various sectors and are looking for flexible people to join their team.
The types ofvehicles you would be expected to drive are Hook Loaders and Refuse trucks. Previous experience preferred however not essentialas full training will be provided.
As an LGV2 Refuse Driver / Loader the work will involve:
- Local Birmingham based collections of general and food waste (None Hazardous)
- Collections mainly from the NEC, NIA, ICC and Genting arenas
- Delivering the waste to a recycling centre based in Tyseley
- Average shifts are 12 hours (between 40-60 hours per week)
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Shifts are 5 days out of 7 so weekends will be required
- Not 100% driving work as some loading will be expected
- A majority of shifts are days however must be willing to work nights when required
- Start time on days = 08.00am / Start time on nights = 20.00pm
Pay Rates:
The pay rate whilst your temporary for the first 12 weeks will be:- £9.50 per hour Monday - Friday
- £10.26 per hour on Saturdays & Sundays
When you become permanent after 12 weeks the pay rate becomes:
- £10.26 per hour - all hours worked.
