WAREHOUSE MANAGER
WIGAN
UP TO £30,000 + 37.5 HOURS A WEEK + PROGRESSION
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is working with a market leading supplier and distributor based in Wigan, who due to consistent growth and expansion, are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join them to assist them in streamlining their processes in the Warehouse to allowthe business to continue it's next phase of development.
Primarily, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all stock, deliveries and Health & Safety in the warehouse, including managing staff, processes, procedures and implementing new ways of working. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse TeamLeader / Logistics Manager / Distribution Manager to join an ambitious business who value and reward their staff. The role gives you the opportunity to really put your mark on how the Warehouse is run, having the autonomy to implement new ideas and ways of working with the full support of the Directors.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Stock management for the warehouse, including planning future capacity requirements
* Responding to enquiries daily
* Maintaining inventories and controlling inventory levels
* Manage Health & Safety procedures (including risk assessments, training and regular checks)
* Maintaining accurate records for all activities on a CRM System
* Ensuring accurate records are help for goods in and goods out
* Identifying system improvements and recommending areas of change
* Ensuring the warehouse space is used efficiently
* Reviewing wastefor the site and ways to improve this
* Develop and maintain policies and procedures for different metrics across the warehouse
* Managing the team in the Warehouse including allocating workload and managing temporary staff and staffing requirements in peak times
* Working closely with the Customer Services and Sales team to ensure order/delivery standards are met
THE PERSON:
* Experience within Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Team Leader / Logistics Manager / DistributionManager including managing large volume of stock and orders
* Computer literate with excellent knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft office
* Excellent attention to detail and able to problem solve
* Confident communicator and adaptability to deal with colleagues, customers and suppliers at all levels
* FLT Licence is desirable
