My client is looking foran experienced Engineering Manager to take charge of the New Product Development team in order to drive development and ensurethey deliver the best values and solutions to meet global customer needs.
They are world class leader in the manufacture of electrical safety products involved in the protection of assets.
With a truly global presence and over 96,000 employees around the world this a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part within a manufacturing monster.
You will be responsible forthe overall resource and people management of about 30 engineers working on NPD projects, so being able to communicate cross functionally is essential.
You will have a strong six sigma approach and be committed to the continuous improvement of processes and staff ensuring there is continuous learning and growth.
Ideally, you'll have a Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years' experience of product design and people leadership.
An understanding of safety standards such as IEC61010 is not essential, but is a bonus, however being a strong leader, motivator and team player will stand youin good stead for this role.
Being self-driven and coming in with loads of energy to rile up the troops is the key to being successful here.
