Laser Process Development Engineer
Up to £45,000
Have you recently graduated with expertise in Laser technology?
Are you looking to be part of a high performing high tech Organisation?
My client is looking for a Laser Process Development Engineer to join their team in Oxfordshire.
They are involved with supplying high tech applications and services to a wide range of industries such as mobile phone and laptop manufacturers.
In this role you would work as part of the Process Engineering group, developing new laser processing technologies for a variety of high-tech manufacturing projects
You will be work in a highpressure and fast paced environment with passionate colleagues that are determined to bring scientific experiments into production reality.
Ideally you'll have a background in Lasers and/or Thin Film PVs, have a basic understanding of the principles ofmicro and nanofabrication as well being hands-on and experimentally minded. This role is ideal for a recent Masters or PhD graduate.
Essential skills and qualifications
* Degree in physics, engineering or similar.
* "Hands-on" mentality with evidence of excellent practical skills.
* Organisation: methodical working with good record-keeping
* Creativity and ability tothink of new solutions to problems.
* Team working.
* Self-motivating.
Desirable skills and qualifications
* Experience of lasers, optics (e.g. as part of degree)
* Software development (particularly Python or C#)
* Keen interest in technology (perhaps evidenced by home projects e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc..)
* Good presentation skills.
* Further research experience (e.g. Ph.D. of interest but not necessary.)
