Description:
Our client, based in East Cork, requires a Process Engineer. This is an exciting new position that has come about due to global initiatives.
You will be joining a multi national company that is a leading innovator and fuelled by a senseof discovery. That passion for exploration drives them to be leaders in their field, in the food and beverage production industries.
You will be reporting in to the Global Engineering manager, who is based in the Cork facility, covering the manufacturingsites in Ireland, America and Aisia.
Do you have a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree?
Do you have 5 years process engineering/continuous improvement experience gained in a production/operational facility?
In this Process Improvement Engineer job, based in Cork, you will be responsible for the following duties:
* Develop & drive improvement initiatives and metrics
* Act as a key contact point for process technology problems at the site.
* Identify, develop/execute medium to longer term, non-CapEx projects for productivity (cost & capacity), yield, quality, and sustainability improvement.
* Develop &own site mass balances & models to understand yield improvement and debottlenecking opportunities.
* Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to address longer term production issues.
* Work with the process R&D group to complete raw material & technology trials, new product scale up and execute DOE's.
* Mining & modelling process data to identify trends & changes, causes of variation, opportunities for improvement.
