THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get-Recruited are currently supporting one of their clients who are an online distributor, looking at hiring an experienced product development manager to join their expanding team.
You will be playing an integral part in a number of existing and planned projects and you will be leading and coordinating the product development team.
There will also be some market research when looking at bringing new products to market, so buying experience is also essential. Role also involves some design work, so design experience is also essential for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To create, maintain and control critical paths for the Product Development processrevising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and circumstances
* To liaise between suppliers and customers, ensuring timely delivery of information, samples and product.
* Execute on a daily basis and in a timely, cost-effective and customer-focused way the key projects in the business
* Act as primary point of contact for defined projects
* Minimise the company's exposure and risk on defined projects
* Client management - meeting and exceeding the client expectations by ensuring excellentproject delivery
* Processes - responsible for ensuring the timely completion of the steps from start to finish
* Communication - responsible for regular accurate communication to provides status and updates to all key stakeholders, including customers.
* Innovation - responsible for reviewing processes and ensuring they are as efficient as possible
* Liaise with suppliersto obtain schedules for development and production
* Assist with preparing specifications as required
* Assist the Head ofProduct in co-ordinating the work flow of the department to meet deadlines.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Project Management OR proven Project Management experience and a relevant Project Management qualification
* An understanding of production and manufacturing processes
* Must be extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
* Proven trackrecord of solving problems creatively, within budget and deadline
* Ability to work independently
