Production Operative
Our client a printing and packaging company based in Co. Offaly are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter to join their teamas a Print Operative Assistant/Production Operative/General Operative.
This is an excellent opportunity to join their team on a Full-time basis in their Irish site.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* The set up and operation of printing machines(calibration, cleaning etc.)
* Ensure and maintain print quality
* Accurately follow all job specifications and work instructions
* Work closely with Senior Printer troubleshooting any equipment or print quality issues
* Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
* Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
* Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
* Test operation of machines periodically
* Fix issues that might occur during the shift
* Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
* Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
* Maintain activity logs
* Follow safe work practices at all times
Skills/Qualifications:
* Previous experience in print and Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery is an advantage
* Experience working in a Manufacturing and production environment* A qualification in the print sector would be an advantage
* A keen level of attention to detail
* The ability to work toand maintain excellent quality control standards
* A high level of self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* IT skills: Microsoft office package
* Understanding of production procedures
* Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
