Work Wales are looking for a production planner for a Swansea basedmanufcturer.
The Production Planner will be responsible for managing the operations planning activities across the business.You will be required to plan activities for each manufacturing area to ensure that the capabilities and capacities of the operations are balanced with the needs of sales to best support customer and business needs.
Responsibilities will include:
·Develop and issue weekly production plans for each section using company's ERP system
·Monitor progress of weekly plans at daily production meetings
·Produce performance reports and KPIs for weekly and monthly review
·Ensure weekly planning activities arerobust with future action plans in place
·Maintain capacity plans to ensure the effective use of resources to satisfy customerneeds and meet financial targets
·Liaise with Sales to manage priorities and reschedule arrears within business area
·Ensure stock levels are maintained and updated regularly to ensure continuity of supply
·Place Auto-generated POs for material replenishment, liaise with Purchasing as required
The successful candidate for the Production Planner position will have the following:·Experience of production planning and control
·MRP Planning
·HNC qualified or higher within a relevant engineering discipline
·Experience within a similar manufacturing environment
