A rare job opportunity has now become available for an individual to take on the role of R&D Lab Manager for an industrial, manufacturing plant near Meath/ Dublin. This established company has been in operation in Ireland for close to 100 years and is viewed asa much sought after employer in the Leinster region. This vacancy has become available due to retirement. This R&D Lab Manager job provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a multi-national organisation with business interests in the building materials sector across the world
The R&D Lab Manager job will see you charged with product and process development, technical marketing support, production support, lab administration, H&S matters. (Full job description on application)
* Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of TGA, XRF and XRD analytical techniques and machinery operation.
* A third level qualification (BSc or higher) in either Chemistry, Materials Science or Geology
* People management andLeadership skills including direct management of a small laboratory team
* At least 5 years'+ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing working environment
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Proven technicalskills and strong commercial acumen
* Excellent IT skills - MS Office
* Strong attention to detail and capable of working on your own initiative whilst meeting production deadlines
