iO Associates are currently working with a leading engineering company in the oil and gas space, who are looking for a Research Engineer for their offices based in Ringwood.
Globally, this company employ over 4,000 people but their 200 person site in Ringwood is where all the R&D takes place. The multidisciplinary team develop low power wireless sensor devices that measure metrics such as heat, vibration and pressure.
You'll come in and provide engineering expertise to projects, with a focus on understanding the limitations of new power supply technologies such as novel battery types for downhole tools.
Day to day you will review the Physics behind concepts, carry out simulation and modelling of designs and analyse research data. Additionally, you willsupport the implementation of solutions in to their products, giving consideration to environmental requirements, electronics,software, mechanical and system constraints.
You will need:
* A degree in a STEM subject with mathematical analysis
*Demonstrable experience in mathematical analysis
